Shri Sagar Simlandy was born in Kamalpur, Birbhum district, West Bengal in 1977. He has passed M.A. in History from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata in 2004 and B.Ed degree from Nandalal Ghosh B. Ed College under Calcutta University in 2005. He was an Assistant Teacher in Panchagram I.S.A. High School (H.S.) For 5 years (2006-2010). Now he is teaching as an Assistant Professor in Sripat Singh College, Jiaganj, Murshidabad from 2010. He is pursuing his Ph. D from Bankura University on “The Permanent Settlement and the Zamindari Fortunes of Murshidabad (1793-1857)”. Twenty- Two (22) articles/ Chapters of him are published in different National & International Books & Journals. He has edited two books-- “Many Faces of Post-Independent Bengal” & “The Legacy of Mahatma Gandhi”. His area of interest is 18 th century India. He is a life member of ‘Paschim Banga Itihas Samsad’ and member of Indian History Congress.
